Through group activities, conversations and play, children learn to interact with others with care, empathy and respect, building positive relationships and friendships. Most of our child care and early education centres offer nappies and wipes, sunscreen and hats, as well as nutritious meals prepared by our in-house cook.
I began working in early childhood education in 1999 and joined Great Beginnings Pakenham in 2014. I bring many years of experience across a range of leadership roles within early learning. Since joining Great Beginnings Pakenham, I have worked as a Lead Educator, Educational Leader, Assistant Centre Manager, and now Centre Manager. Each role has given me the opportunity to develop new skills, explore different areas of the sector, and deepen my early learning centre near pakenham passion for ensuring children receive the best possible start to their education journey. One of the most rewarding parts of my role is seeing the growth and development of not only the children, but also the families and educators, over time.

We recommend you speak to your maternal and child health nurse about your child’s development. In integrated settings, a “Free Kinder” subsidy is applied to your account, reducing your out-of-pocket costs for the Melbourne kindergarten program. Our environment is a safe space for your child to do what they do best – be themselves. We use CCTV security cameras in key areas of the campus to help protect children, families, and staff. Footage is securely managed and only accessed for authorised safety and compliance purposes, giving families peace of mind.
Additionally, through the Sleep Smart program, educators receive expert guidance to enhance sleep practices, further ensuring the safety and well-being of all children. Story House Early Learning prioritises children’s well-being ensuring each child’s comfort and safety during rest times. Educators are trained to implement safe sleep practices, adhering to guidelines from Red Nose Australia and the National Quality Standards. We’re part of many different communities, supporting families from all walks of life. Every Story House-er brings something unique and when all those different pieces connect, it creates something truly beautiful.
Our Transition to School program helps children build confidence, independence, and readiness for the next step with gentle support. Children develop early literacy through storytelling, books, songs and meaningful conversations. Educators support children to explore language in many forms, including speaking, listening, viewing, drawing and writing, while building confidence communicating with others. At our early learning centre in Pakenham, our play-based curriculum is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), supporting children to learn through play, exploration and discovery. For children with additional needs or behaviours of concern, we collaborate with inclusion support professionals, allied health teams, and our Kindergarten Improvement Advisor. These partnerships help us apply for additional support, develop strategies, and create inclusive, nurturing environments where all children can thrive.
I am passionate about creating environments that support each child’s individual learning style, interests, and wellbeing. You will also receive daily photos and updates of your child’s learning and development through our family communication app. Within the curriculum framework, play enables your toddler to develop fundamental skills for life-long learning.
