I encourage lessons at the start to build the necessary skills and then Supervising drivers can take over and build the hours with the right skills. Closer to the test date, I will fine tune and prepare the student for the test. Doing it this way, the time spent allows them to build a higher level of skills. Very calm and nice, teaches you very well and can teach you very fast!

Yay, passed my driving test at first go today in Marrickville! I googled for driving schools and I am so glad I came across Tommy's Driving School and totally agree with all the great reviews! I had ANNA as my driving instructor and she is very patient, supportive and always ready to answer my questions. During these lessons I was driving in many different places in Southwest Sydney, including the city.
She is very professional, arrives on time, and really ensures that you will be ready for the test. I had three lessons with this driving school after coming from another instructor, and when comparing the two – Tommy’s simply trumps it in every regard. I was taught everything again from a clearer and more objective point of view and as a result, I managed to get my P’s on my first try.
As such you are accessing the combined knowledge of many experienced driving instructors with decades of experience. Inexperienced driving instructor will charge less money for a driving lesson because they are not very good at their job. Which means you will not learn as much or even worse, you will not be taught the correct way. Some driving instructors will charge less money if you do a driving lesson in your own car. Whilst this may sound like a good idea, there are some downsides.

From 0 confidence to achieving 99% on the test after  3 lessons with Tommy. Demonstrating that the quality and assurance of Tommy's lessons need no further explanation. Mate, if there was one person in the world you should ever learn driving from, I'm telling you guys it's this man.
He made driving  fun, while also challenging me by taking me to unfamiliar areas around Sydney. I took 2+ hour lessons with him so I could get some experience in different situations, learn to manage hazards effectively and fine tune necessary skills . I'm not a naturally confident driver, but all of this helped me develop my confidence a lot. Having passed my driving test last week and I have been able to do long, solo drives without hesitation. Tommy is the best driving instructor anyone could ask for.
Great for refreshing your driving skills, and updating your road rule knowledge. The instructor uses the first 30 minutes to gauge your skills and confidence, and identify areas that may require further improvement prior to the assessment. The remaining 60 minutes is a formal driver assessment for drivers 85+ years to retain their unrestricted licence as part of the NSW licencing scheme. Lara is knowledgeable and patient and meticulously prepared my son for his drivers' test which he passed with a near perfect score. I would highly recommend Lara to anyone looking for a great instructor.
